The food is excellent at Benny B's Exlus was a nice waitress and the food is very much a southern style restaurant. If you looking for the southern taste it's at this restaurant in Baldwin .

Let me start by saying this. I used to frequent Benny B's years ago and would always get chicken and it was great! Today I had a taste for catfish so I decided to call ahead and told it would be ready in ten minutes.
I arrived 15 minutes later and it still wasn't ready. I waited an additional 10 minutes for my food. To my surprise they use frozen catfish! It was the most disgusting thing I've ever had. I wish they would use fresh fish! Who serves frozen fish for $15??? I was beyond upset. I will not be returning -

Finally a worthy Fish Fry place. I'm picky about Soul Food. This place is the real deal with fresh quality food.
The Mac n Cheese is the way I make it....more like a cobbler with chunks of cheese and not homogeneous. Brisket was tasty and smoky w BBQ sauce (gravy is an option I would have picked if this were my dish), chicken wings were good, Catfish was tasty even though it's not my favorite fish, and my Whiting was delicious. Yams were so delicious and flavorful. Collard greens were good...these were sweetened a little to balance out the vinegar in them.
Amazing small family business. Looks like a family member is or was a WWII veteran and there seems to be some Civil war weapons on display. The owner and the staff at the counter are respectful and informative.
They are closed on Monday, so they may run out of Brisket and cornbread later Sunday.
Two tables to either dine in or await for one's order. The best of the bunch: mac n cheese, brisket, and candied yams. -

I called in a fried chicken dinner with potato salad and collard greens, what I got was 4 chicken wings and the trust not homemade tasting potato salad , collard greens okay buy a little greasy all for the low price of $12.00 dollars. Nest time since I didn't specify what pieces I wanted I suppose they game me what they had left at the time. Chicken wings were okay similar to the chicken chicken wings I get from my local Chinese only difference is the Chinese food wings are better tasting. Sorry I calls them as I see's them. Since I grew up on soul food I'll honestly say 3 star review is warranted for my visit.
